La fortaleza de Valença do Miño servía para defender a la ciudad durante las guerras con los españoles. Al fondo se ve Tui, cuya catedral-fortaleza era la encargada de defender a la ciudad de los portugueses. Por el puente que se ve en la foto (construido por Gustave Eiffel) entra el Camino Portugués que va a Santiago de Compostela
