People tend to climb Mt. Sinai in the middle of the night, to be at the top in time to watch the sun rise. We made it to the top before all the other tourists/religious types who were climbing, so got pick of the spots for camping down for a couple of hours. I slept, despite lying on a rock and having various knees and feet jabbed into me for a couple of hours.
It was perishing by the time sun rise came, so there I was standing on a rocky outcrop away slightly from all the other people on top of this hill to try to get a shot of just how busy it was up here. Not exactly tranquil, but interesting to see. Almost as interesting as the loose gravel I nearly slipped on when making my way over here. Falling off a mountain isn't my idea of fun!
