Storm Rolling into Boston Harbor |
by zendifferent |
This is the same as 2 shots ago, but this time double-baked in Photomtix. This time, kept much more color in this as well. This is a single-exposure HDR - tonemapped in Photomatix and again in Photoshop. This is the skyline of Boston, as seen from Boston Harbor. This is as the storm was really starting to get interesting. (see the cell really start to develop here) We tried several times to leave port to re-enact the Boston Tea Party but never got out much further than this. The rain and lightening was relentless, which isn't great on a clipper with 2 100' masts in the middle of the ocean. So, we hugged the shore for about 40 minutes, re-enacted the tossing of the tea into the harbor, then returned.
Camera: Nikon D80
Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125)

View Large On Black - really worth it, I swear!
