Baked Apple |
by zendifferent |
Once again, just playing with the HDR / Tone Mapping tools available in Photomatix. I am not sure if I am a fan of this heavy baking thing, but wanted to play with it none the less. I have another version of this photo from a few weeks ago that I only lightly tone mapped. This is the deeply baked version, throwing all the tones out the window. Some like this style, some do not. I still think it is something worth learning. I do notice that when you really bake these things, you get a lot of halo's. I could get rid of them, but then you lose a lot in the buildings. So, I need to play with this quite a bit more before I understand it. Meh, it's a learning curve.
Taken with my Nikon D80 / Sigma 15mm. Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125), f/5.6, IS 100. All post-work done in Photomatix.
