Photochallenge.org's 2009 daily challenge #145, death.
From the memorial day ceremony at Webster Rural Cemetery, these crosses represent the years when Webster lost soldiers in wars or conflicts. They were decorated with flags and flowers during the cerimony by the local Boy and Girl Scouts.

Oh and yeah there were (sadly) many more crosses than these there too, I zoomed in tight to show off the little flags.
