Better than it was

Better than it was
IMG_6019 My attempt at improving my landscape shots, based on Sherbi's sharpness advice. The only problem is, there was a light wind, and between it blowing the leaves on the trees and shaking my tripod extended too high to get over a fence. Combined with the longer exposure at F22 It still wasn't what I was looking for. But it's better than it was. View it large size with the magnifying glass above, view it original size here. Heh, thanks, but I was going for sharpness not brush strokes.

The colors are really nice. I know you were going for sharpness but the effect the wind had here is pretty nice too.

Do you take multiple shots at varying apertures just to view the results of each? If you need a faster shutter due to the wind you could open it a bit more than f22 and still get the sharpness you're looking for.

I shot this scene with every aperture on two different lenses. This was the best of the bunch, this one just had the leaf blur, the other ones had what I think was tripod shake, much worse

It was nice to see the color difference between the 50mm and the 70mm to 300mm. I hadn't ever noticed how flat the colors on my zoom lens were.
