IMG_5729 I'm not happy how my landscape shots are turning out. I can't seem to get them sharp enough. So, on this one, I gave up. I went the other way, I softened it up with Dfx and some vignetting, going for more of a painting feel.

ISO 400 at F/8 will be challenging for a sharp landscape. Do you pack a tripod?

And smaller aperture == higher F number == more depth of field == sharper image.
With a tripod and timer release, you could shoot at your camera's lowest ISO at F/14 to F/20. Your exposure might be 1/4 of a second, but you should get a sharp image. Beware of image stabilization here, some systems freak out when the is no motion and make it worse.
