One of my Zooomr friends and an amazing photographer once told me to "Embrace the grain." Well it's taken me over a year, but I'm embracing it Celine!!! ;-)

Photochallenge.org's 2009 daily challenge #175, breakfast.
In order to get this shot before my daugher's cerial got all soggy I hand held this shot with just the 36mm extention tube. So I had to pump up the ISO all the way to 1600 giving it the the extra grain.
Next time I'll set up the tripod and THEN pour the milk. ;-)

... bloomer
Photochallenge.org's 2009 daily challenge #173, late.
This is a yet to open daisey bloom, in our garden. Normally 3 foot high gems are in full effect by now, but due to the cool wet spring we have had here in the North east they are a few weeks.... late.
This is another 1:1 macro image. I bought a set of extention tubes about a week ago with some birthday money, and have been getting used to them this week. I used the 16mm and the 12mm with my 50mm f/1.8 at a focal distance of about 2" to create this image. The bloom is the same size as sensor in my Canon XSi. (hence 1:1)
