Will You Be My Friend? |
Cradled in the Branches of the Tree, the Moon Rests |
Sunset, Downtown Sacramento |

I almost didn't take this shot. I was originally planning on getting a moonrise over downtown Sacramento (see here), but I made a grave miscalculation and the moon rose much further south than I anticipated. After taking a few less than decent shots I decided to pack up and leave. As I was driving away I looked back one more time. The moon was right next to an old dead tree. After a brief period of contemplation, I stopped the car, got out and started shooting again.

Wicked Weather in Colorado |
Up until now I've been using a macro coupler to connect one lens to another for my macro shots and have rarely used a lens reverser. I now realize that was a huge mistake. I get way better DOF, more working distance and sharper images if I just reverse a lens with some extension tubes. Wow!
I also finished my milk carton diffuser, and as you can see, it works nicely.

Tried to create a French film noir feel, so the title should be: "éternité sans dormir"
