You must have gotten one heck of a work out toting that 600mm lens around! Wish I could have made it out this morning, looks like there were many good photo ops. Start a dialogue here? Thomas Hawk 2 years, 8 months ago: Thanks Jeff. I used Scoble's monopod with the lens and it certainly was huge and heavy. After carting it around most of today I nicknamed it the "Beast." It was beautiful glass though and although I can't imagine ever paying the money to buy one, I'm sure I'll rent one again in the future and it sure as heck was fun to use today.
