i love the rust, but having a mechanical background and main history having to do with specialty piping, that valve is in serious danger (obviously), i wonder what kind of line it's in? i'm showing this to some of the people i've worked with. whoever spec'd and installed that valve made a serious mistake in choosing a materials for application.
Geez, I don't know how you can tell, with the tight crop and all the rust. The thing must be over 60 years old. I don't think it's application has been applicable for a long time. BTW, it was on the side of the building next to the Red Oak Victory (from our 1/19 photowalk).
