Thanks, lolede. I like the erhaben interpretation. I often title my shots after I post them, looking at them on the screen, and this title came to me. Librarys offer so much content (at least before Google), so the bookless library is really striking. The title is personal and revealing - my girlfriend is in Florida and I am in California. Poet, artist; romantic.
it is not really my interpretion but kant´s, shaftesbury´s and especially burke´s. i tink an empty liberay is the adequate modern response to burke´s example of a deadly eagre: Cruel but so much fascinating that you get speech- and breathless.
