Bride Monkey
Not being skilled enough to put a zipper in, or patient enough to do buttons, I improvised a corset back for the bodice using the loops from a package of hook and eye fasteners, and tied with some satin cord.

Geisha Monkey
I was unable to make a decent standard geisha wig, and couldn't find a doll one in her size, so I improvised and left most of her hair down and gave her two buns on either side of her head, which I wrapped in ribbon and decorated with flowers.
Her face was painted with a light wash of white fabric paint and then embroidered. Her eyes were little silver buttons with a floral pattern on them.

Bride Monkey
I trimmed the gown with satin cord and 1/2" lace. The longer lace seen peeking out from under the gown was the cream-colored petticoat that was trimmed with 2" lace.

Bride Monkey
A complete look at the bride monkey. The bell-sleeves are trimmed with satin cord and lace like the hem of the gown. This show was taken after I'd sewed the veil in place, but before I added some beading to the bodice to cover up a bad cut. I also gave her some matching bead earrings and added some beading in the flowers at the top of the veil.
