St Michaels Mount has over 30 people that live and work on the island. Those that don't live there have to wait for the tide to go out to walk across the causeway or catch a boat to work.

As the clouds darkened the sun across the bay made the rainbow appear bright and colourful of a few minutes.

Up early on the first day of our break in Cornwall and I managed to catch a rainbow after a terrific storm. As the tide went out the skies cleared and those dark ominous clouds vanished.

When the tide is in boats go back and forth taking visitors across to visit St Michaels Mount. The Red boat is flying the Cornish flag which is black with a white cross.

As the tide had gone out a fair distance it was a long walk back up the beach, so no wonder it needed two of them!

As the sun went down we watched this person rowing before eventually giving up and coming into shore. Her helper then walked down the beach and gave her a hand carrying the boat up to dry land.
