I just want to be your friend
My Pookie is the most friendly kid in the world, especially toward other children. We were at the park and two little girls (probably 10 yrs. old) came and started playing. He attempted to say "hi" and "introduce" himself a couple of times. I finally told him to go play on the slide - I'd watch him. As I turned around, he was standing at the bottom of the slide and looking at them. I know he didn't understand why they ignored him. Poor lil' guy!

My daughter has the same problem. She is really sweet to other kids and never understands when they treat her poorly, or ignore her. How old is your little guy?

He just turned 3! Doesn't it make you feel bad? Does me!

It affects my wife more than I. It'll click in for her, she just needs to hang in there.

Meng-Shan (my daughter) will be 4 in August.

My little one Finn (4 yo) has this trouble too. He's never shy about asking some other kid their name, with a bright smile too. All to often, the other kid just ignores him or worse.

It's a bummer, huh! How do you handle it? It just breaks my heart!

We just keep encouraging him..Some do respond, and some of them have become good friends.
