A day that's gone forever

I was rooting through some old films recently and I came across three images that I'd shot as a panorama and never done anything with. I figured it might be worth scanning them and seeing how autostitch coped with them. I'm amazed at how well it turned out. I remember taking these photos and I know I didn't use a tripod or manual exposure. I guess they must have been taken around the summer of 2002. 3 landscape exposures stitched with autostitch. dust and hairs cloned out. Unsharp mask. No other photoshop work done.

Playing with my new SB-600 speedlight. I'm really impressed with the quality of the light you can get off it, especially when using it to swivel and bounce the light. In this shot the light was bounced off the wall to the left Flashgun Pros 1) The light is a lot brighter 2) The head makes things a lot more flexible 3) Smart TTL takes the brainpower out of getting good results Cons 1) Expense. £120 is a lot for a flash, and I shopped around for ages to get that price 2) Weight. A D50 plus the flash (batteries included) weighs over a kilogram without a lens. That's almost 2.5lb! Coming soon. Off camera strobism. On black
