I like the shot in terms of what's in it. The boats and the bridge seem to be in balance somehow.

It looks a bit like a video game scene with the edited lighting, though.

That's interesting. I wonder at what point video games will become so realistic that you can't say that any more.

Video game makers might have the same incentives photographers do to make sure night scenes aren't dominated by a few bright lights.

It would kind of suck playing a game where you can't find the boats because of some contrast issue.

There is a difference between realism and photorealism. In reality, our eye has a greater dynamic range than a camera, so there is "wow this video game looks like real life!" is not "this video game looks like a movie!" although the two goals are being approached, the latter sooner, I think.
