The sacred Bagmati river flows on eventually to the Ganges. Public cremations take place along these banks. A little unnerving initially to observe at first.

I had a great time with the kids who hung out at Dubar Square. Candies, unsurprisingly, made us very popular. One of them was particularly persistent and followed our group for a bit, trying to get us to buy her ice-cream. :)

The Boudhanath Stupa. One of the largest stupas in Asia. I briefly visited Kathmandu, Nepal in 2004 on an airline incentive tour. I took very few digital photos on my G1 then, relying largely on my film SLR.
