This monument commemorates how God spared the lives of the Mormon Pioneers by sending seagulls to eat the crickets that threatened their crops.

With more than 11,000 pipes, the Salt Lake Tabernacle Organ is the largest in the church, as well as one of the finest — and most famous — musical instruments in the world. The seats around it are where the Mormon Tabernacle Choir perform, as well as record many of their albums.

This statue of Brigham Young, on the Main Street Plaza, is part of a monument commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Mormon Pioneers' arrival in the Salt Lake Valley. The statue was also displayed at the Columbian Exposition in Chicago in the 1890s.
