Taken in October but left on my external hard drive untouched until this morning when I was going through RAW files cleaning up some space. I think it is time to get some Seagate 750GB externals...my wallet has been a gaping abyss lately.

Still going through the photos from Saturday evenings photowalk...I have not gone through them all...just a quick glance and worked on a few. Tonight I saw this shot and decided to work on it. I LOVE this shot...it really "captures the moment" of the photowalk. Here I am on a late Saturday afternoon which fell into a late Saturday evening with 30 other photo enthusiats shooting my favorite subject. Does not matter what your experience is behind the lens, or what camera you are shooting with...what matters is I am sharing with my favorite places with others who have the same passion for photography as I. We actually had a discussion over refreshments after the shoot about knowledge transfer...sharing what you know...the Santa Monica pier is no hidden secret...it is the crown jewel of Danta Monica. The pier is easy to capture at sunset...and I love to capture it. Why would I not transfer what I know to others? I know how to shoot the pier and sharing what I know made for a GREAT evening and I know I made friends on Saturday evening with whom I will shoot again...hopefully shooting something that is unfamiliar to me and learning something which I did not know prior to that shoot. I love photowalking!

While shooting pre-wedding shots on Sunday I managed to capture a father leading his little boy into the warm sunset surf...it was truly a sight to behold...magical!

Going through my RAW files from last Thursdays sunset shoot at the Santa Monica pier and I really like this shot...I have tons more but have not had time to go through them all...I look forward to meeting some other zooomrites on 8/4!
