I spent two nights in Hamner Springs, a village built around some hot pools (pretty strange in a non-volcanic landscape) that had become a sort of "Collingwood is to Toronto as Hamner is to Toronto." Except that Hamner is closer to Christchurch than Collingwood is to Toronto...and you have to pass through Barrie before hitting Collingwood.
