World Youth Day Sydney 2008 Press Photo 31 |
by natashayong |
The final days of Jesus's life on earth (though not according to Dr Barbara Thiering), "Stations of the Cross," were re-enacted across Sydney, Friday 18 July 2008, ending at "Barangaroo" with this scene from 2000 years ago. Still relevant today considering the endless unjust wars that superpowers enact causing endless death and destruction to millions of innocents the world over? Time to move on perhaps and find a new idol to worship?
Live TV coverage of the Stations of the Cross began from the steps of St Mary's Cathedral and ended at Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour (Hickson Road/The Hungry Mile, The Rocks, Sydney).
