Sakura Shadows |
Bucketful of Light |
Windshield Reflections |
Yup those are the blossoms. These ones are the white colored type. They are more popular as pink but are more common as white.

Another lantern shot. Sorry, it was sakura season so lots of sakura festivals which means a lot of lanterns especially if that festival includes a light-up (where places are being lit-up).
Sakura is the Japanese term for cherry blossoms which is probably the national flower of Japan. The sakura only blooms for one week once a year.which is why the Japanese flock and cuss over these flowers.

Kingdom of Sun |
Attack of the Lantern Heads |
Beam Me Up! |
The lights in the ceiling and sides are all sun-formed. This can probably be the shopping district in the kingdom of sun.
But really, it's a covered shopping walk in Nakano here in the Land of the Rising Sun. Close enough eh?

Sakura season is here and each town is having a sakura festival!

This is in Nakano (where the cheapest 2nd hand camera shop in Tokyo can be found). Each lantern represents a donor I guess.

Just reminded me of the device used in Star Trek. Hehe.
That is actually a pillar I turned upside-down. So no, they are not stairs but they do look better as stairs. You never go wrong with train stations near Shinjuku then fancify everything like modern art.

Underground Tunnels |
Red Brick House of Justice |
Wet and Snow |
Not as creepy, dark and dank as one would imagine but yep this is an underground walkway. It connects several building and train stations in Nishi-Shinjuku.
This is my wind-shelter (kinda like a bomb shelter). I use this to escape the wind. You have no idea how windy Shinjuku can be. It made me hate winter even more. >.<

FORMER Ministry of Justice building. This is now just another government building boringly known as Central Government Building no. 6.
Ministry of Justice sounds way cooler unless it is some building in a mecha anime then Central Government Building no. 6 is way cool.

One chilly day, when rain turned to snow.
Yep, I mean really. I'm not just quoting. Forecast said rain that day. After raining cats and dogs, it probably decided it's cooler to be snow. Hehe.
I think it was the first snow of this winter in Tokyo. Unexpected and quick, no fun at all.

Yumyum Fried Lumpia |
Yurakucho Creepy Night |
Or rather.. that's one big love. LOL! That'S a pop art sculpture found in Nishi-Shinjuku (West Shinjuku). More information here.
Taken using a fish-eye lens for mobile (one that I lost huhuhu).

Simple food like fried lumpia couldn't be presented any better. That's why I had to take a shot before the "attack".

Looks dangerous but mostly it's safe here in Japan, even in Tokyo.
And... I apologize for the long long hiatus. ^^; Despite me not posting here, I still kept shooting pictures with my babies (cellphones).
I will be going somewhere for a week, but have prepared some scheduled entries to keep up with the daily posts. Hope you still enjoy them.

Millions of people zooming on. Only staying a few seconds, just enough to pass by.
First time I've used a custom ration instead of maintain the original one or at least a known/common one.

One of the most beautiful and biggest castle I've visited in Japan. A must-go. Although it's really far from the other sites.
The whole day I was there was a fight between rain and sun. Lot's of clouds. Liked how the clouds came out.
