The West Kennet chambered long barrow (constructed around 3600 BC and in use to approx. 2500 BC) catches the last of the winter sun. Further information on the monument can be found on the English Heritage Pastscape website at http://www.pastscape.org.uk/hob.aspx?hob_id=220853
