After 10 weeks it was finally time to return home. First this necessitated a gruelling bus journey to Khartoum. After a good nights sleep in a proper bed in the hotel (it had like a toilet that you could sit down on and everything!) we visited the National Museum.
The museum contains some impressive temples saved from the rising waters of the Aswan High Dam half a century ago. Many are covered in graffiti, very old graffiti. In this case some crosses/crucifixes.
