I walked about 4 miles to try to get a picture of this today. It reads: Lemmie tell you about Port Richmond. My father came home from the coal barges on Delaware Avenue. He stopped at a bar to get the dirt out. A shot was 25 cents, and a beer was 10 cents. He ate his dinner at the kitchen table, then he went out on the front porch and talked to his neighbors. TV changed everything. Our first TV was so small, we couldn't tell if it was a horse or a dog. I been 1/2 way around the world in the service, and I was glad to get back. I love Richmond. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
