If you are able to make a donation, I highly recommend choosing to donate in the form of a luminaria. A luminaria is a paper bag (weighted with sand), dedicated in honor of, or in memory of, someone who has battled this disease. Each luminaria is lit with a candle, during a special ceremony, and lights the way for the relay walkers all through the night.
