The annual 'Boobs on Bikes' parade is quite popular among Aucklanders, despite the new mayor attempting to prevent it.

Police form a barrier between the protesters and the expected motorcade carrying the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
As you can probably tell the weather was wet. It was very wet and photographing was a challenge. It was also very windy, with gusts of wind frequently threatening to blow me off my feet.

Chants of "Shame! Shame!" were directed at the police for siding with a foreign "war criminal" (as the protesters would describe her) and against New Zealanders.

New Zealand was hosting the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice nearby. Some people felt she was partly responsible for inessential wars and conspiracy to torture.

Sorry, I'm not sure what's covering the top left of the lens there. I was struggling with keeping my lens dry while trying not to miss shots.
