This was my attempt at trying to sketch an old classmate of mine from a photograph I had. I wasn't satisfied with the result and have destroyed this sketch in frustration. Silly me I know.

I don't know who this is. She was in a group photograph belonging to a friend of mine. I chose to sketch her as I liked her expression.

I sketched this portrait of a camel owner some years back from a photograph. I've learned that it is referred to these days as "Osama". I may just try to sketch him, but this isn't him.

A watercolour copy of another painting of an Arab at his mountain abode.
I started painting when I was around eight or nine years old. I mostly painted made up landscapes, but I also spent time copying paintings and sketches from a book called Sketchbook Arabia (ISBN: 1873544065). This was one of those copied paintings (Original by Margaret Henderson).

My take on the mandatory Burj-al-Arab shot.
The Burj-Al-Arab is a self proclaimed 7-star hotel built on a man-made island and reaches taller than any other hotel.
