The William C. Daldy sets off with passengers to watch and participate in the boat and yaght races on Auckland's Anniversary Day. This tug once consumed 40 tons of coal in a 36 hour battle against gale force winds to prevent a calamity during the construction of the Auckland Harbour Bridge.
