Probablemente, cultura Tiwanaku del sur del Perú. Siglos VI-XI. En las culturas precolombinas del centro y sud de America se practicaba de forma ritual la deformidad cranial en base a la colocación, durante la fase de crecimiento infantil de unas maderas que obligaban al cráneo a crecer en una determinada dirección . Esta práctica se podía ver hasta principios del siglo XX en algunas étnias.
