En la región del Valle de las Aguascalientes se ubicaron varias tribus Chichimecas entre las que destacaron: los Cascanes, Guachichiles, Tecuexas y otros; que vivian de la recolección y la caza.
Durante la conquista una de las tribus que dio mayor oposición fué la Caxcana de ahí que se fueron fundando pequeños poblados de españoles e indios hasta formar lo que hoy es parte de Zacatecas, Aguascalientes y parte de Jalisco.
In the region of Aguascalientes there were some Chichimecas tribes, including the Cascanes, Guachichiles, Tecuexas and others; who where hunters and plants collectors.
During the spanish conquer one of the most though tribes was the one of the Caxcana region where the spanish people began to establish among the indians, this region was located in the present states of Zacatecas, Aguascalientes and part of Jalisco.
