No se sabe con exactitud que tipo de fiestas o danzas religiosas o paganas se bailaban en la epoca de la Colonia. Lo que si es cierto es que en varios poblados de Aguascalientes se danzaba la danza de la Pluma o Palma; no fue hasta el año de 1915 cuando el senór Don Bernabe Felix formo la primera danza de Matlachines traida de Zacatecas en donde el principal motivo era danzarle a la Santa Cruz de los albañiles.
It is not certainly known what kind of religios or pagan dances where danced in the time of the Colony. What is known is that in aguascalientes there used to dance the danza de la Pluma o Palma (feather ot leave dance); it wansn't until 1915 when Don Bernabe Felix formed the first Matlachines dance brought from Zacatecas where the main purpose was to dance for the Holy Cross of the builders.
