Basil Bush

Tomato Growth

Basil Bush

This is how much my basil has grown since I've got it. It has really bushed out and 'exploded' in this container. I'll be moving the pepper plant to its own container or in the dirt once I build my garden, as soon as I can. On the left you can see the tomato plant, and how it is starting to grow again.

So here is another picture to show how much that branch is starting to grow, and there are several more around the stalk.

Basil Cutting Bushing

Tomato Plant Re-growing

Basil Cutting Bushing

So I've done some pinching and what not, to get the cuttings to bush out a bit, so that they wil lgrow into nice branched out bushes instead of a single tall stalk. So far they are groing quite nicely I think.

Basil Cutting Bushing 2

This is the other cutting I made as well, you can see how tall it has gotten in this picture as well as how it's bushing out. I've been doing some pinching at the bottom leaves to get them to bush out more too, so it isn't just top heavy.

Tomato Plant Re-growing

So, my tomato plant had fallen over a while back, and basically started to die. All the leaves wilted and what not, though it was still doing its best to grow tomatoes! What a trooper! Well, the wind finally knocked down the last branch, in half the other day :( But not all is lost, at the base of the plant, a new, healthy branch has decided to grow!! This is what is shown in the picture, the new growth from a dying plant, to one that is doing quite well! All the other green leaves scattered are just clippings off of the basil plant.

Leaf Lettuce Go!

And it grows down

Peanut Close Up

Leaf Lettuce Go!

So my lettuce is doing quite well for itself. I've trimmed a few of the leaves off of the one tall plant, and it keeps growing. The little one is a bit farther behind due to the time it took to seed. Surprising to me, is it's growing like a vine, I didn't know they did that... and maybe there's a way to stop it, so that it grows a bunch of leaves (to eat)? Either way, still an interesting find for me while learning to grow my own food ;3

And it grows down

So, my peanut plants are to the stage where they are ready to start and try to produce peanuts! I have grown these directly from the seed, watched it grow tall and sport orangish flowers. Now it has decided to grow little brancheds that find its way into the soil, so that it can grow the peanut pods! I can't wait to see the end result, taste them and grow more ;d I'd say these plants are quite interesting for me, to watch them grow their leaves quite fast, and fan out... then at night, fold together like a fan!

Here's a shot of my green onions! Obviously coming a long way from just a small little leaf from a seed, to bigger grass looking stalks that are getting thicker!

Check out day 3 of a brand new jalapeno on my 'Giant Jalapeno' plant! Growing well so far, and still more flowers sprouting out, which will hopefully turn into more peppers ;d

Marconi Plant

here you can see my 'Giant Marconi' plant with the pepper growing still. The size of the pepper is quite big already, about 3-3.5 inches and you can see that compared to the plant itself. It's doing a great job and made it through the recent thunderstorm too! Unfortunately, the cherry tomato did not.

Group of Tomatoes!

Here you can see the group of tomatoes I have growing on my Patio Tomato plant! There are 5 big ones, and a few smaller starting. I also have a few starting at the top of the plant, but I'm really happy at seeing all these growing so well :d I cannot wait to eat these too!

Giant Marconi getting bigger!

Yes, getting bigger and heavier! You can see it has now bent over from the weight of the pepper and it is getting longer and wider.
