Shot by my sister-in-law (a.k.a. my wife's sister). I was teaching her how to use a DSLR (focusing, aperture, etc..) I was about to delete what she shot, but thought why not give some of the pics a spin in my favorite, Lightroom. This is the result of color treatment only! No photoshop layers, filters..etc Btw, this was shot with my new lens. I just love it! ----- Check out my other most interesting photos

NOTE: I know that I seem like an HDR freak (which I AM), but this is NOT HDR btw...!! It's mere playing around with RAW format in Lightroom. Thanks to everyone, this picture got on flickr explore #426 (rank history). Mo'men was all over us sending us his "looks" while we were at "Masjid Ibn-Tulun." Are you tourists?" he asked while gazing at our cameras. I replied back "eh ya 3am? da7na masreyeen" (translation: "what's up dude, we're egyptians"). The cameras tricked him into thinking that we were tourists. He smiled....and still gazed. I asked the the important question: "would you like to be photographed?" he nudged joyfully "YES". THE RESULT: a young muslim egyptian full of pride of his country and religion. Don't you just love the look on his eyes as they wander for a point to fix their sight on for a good pose?? Mo'men: A Strong Believer. Shot during a photo session group trip organized by "Greater Cairo" group. I had tons of fun, met new people and saw new places! Thanx everyone for your comments, faves and reactions!! I LOVE YOU ALL NOTE 2: I know that I seem like an HDR freak (which I AM), but this is NOT HDR btw...!! This is a single RAW shot that I played around with in Lightroom. I wanted to shoot this magnificent masjid from far away for ages now, but currently the best spot from the bridge of El-Abasiya is not good because of the construction work there infront of the masjid. But during last Eid after witnessing the sunrise, with my lovely wife, that day; I parked the car on the bridge!! I am talking about 6th of October bridge!!! Crazy? YES may be, but I had to do it. Plus, on a Friday and about 6:30am, there wasn't much traffic to hold me back :) I got very lucky with those clouds..alhamodlillah "All Sizes" (including original resolution 3456 x 2304) are available to my Contact "Friends" exclusively. ----- Check out my other most interesting photos See where this picture was taken. ?

--> Best viewed Large on black. I didnt give time to this photo in lightroom at all. You see, recently I became more of a lightroom addict than I was to HDR. In this version, the ad is much more vivid. The contrast is higher. The metal beams are more silver like. To me, this is much better than the first version. I hope you like it.
