There are some books that make you angry, there are others that make you happy, and there are others make you think. This book depressed the heck out of me. This book is not exactly atemporal, years are given, but if this is in the far future or in an alternate present you don't really get it from the reading.
The book is about discrimination in its purest form. About people not understanding who they are, and about people just not doing the right decision on time because they couldn't understand all the signals.
It really makes you think on all the decisions you've taken in your lifetime, makes you think if all of those were the right ones, or if you perhaps should've done it in a different way.
This book depresses you not because it doesn't have a happy ending, but because you know there's not gonna be one from the start. You know all of it is just all the crap that made the sad ending a reality.
