Of all the flowers I saw in El Rosedal, these were my favorite. I don't know what kind of flower they are... but they sure were beautiful!

Dad finally fixed the back tire of my bicycle. I was so happy! I haven't used it since we moved (about six months). I spent about forty-five minutes scrubbing the rust off the steel and chrome parts of the bike. When I finished and was satisfied with my work, it looked so much better. I'm going to ask one of the guys to show me how to clean and oil the gears- it's a little squeaky. Tomorrow, I'm going to bike down Libertador to the school with Analia. It's about four kilometers. I love bicycles. I think they were one of the best inventions ever.

Here's another photo from our Midwestern Argentina vacation in San Luis and Córdoba. We did a lot of driving around and sightseeing. My tío and tía planned our itinerary and they had us cramming in as many stops as we could make in a day. One of the places we absolutely had to stop at, according to my aunt, was Parque El Descanso in Los Cocos. The park was really pretty (although the price to get in was ridiculous). There were tons of flowers growing everywhere in beautifully manicured gardens, some small museums that showcased symbols of Argentina's history, a huge hedge maze, and various smaller parks with statues and fountains. I kind of fell in love with this angel statue in one of the gardens. You (obviously) can't tell from this picture, but it was really tall and standing with a trumpet as if about to announce the coming of something great and glorious. I just thought it was beautiful, so I got out my camera and snapped this photo.

Sofia had "adopted" a neighborhood kitten before we moved to Argentina and named her "Squiggles". We found this little cutie at my abuela's home and, no kidding, she looks exactly like Squiggles in Florida. Sofia was so happy.

This is an iPod case my sister knit over the weekend. "It's a cool iPod sock... and it was basically free," she said, commenting on her handiwork.
