Just a shot from below showing the routing of the power cable from the V1, tucked back into the headliner and over the V1 to the A-pillar.

Excuse my poor photography skills, focus should be on the headliner and the V1. Ahh well. Anyway, this shows where it's located. It's in a good spot relative to the driver's position, roughly the same area as the mirror already sits, up high enough that it doesn't obstruct the view and within easy reach for Mute.

This is where I originally wanted to route the cable from the V1 to the fuse panel. However, after getting the wire about halfway down the A-pillar the fit was too tight. That A-pillar is held on with break-away tabs, and if you break them the Airbag light comes on. No thanks. I chose another route instead, inside the rubber window strip on the outside of the A-pillar.

This is just a closer view of that V1 cable block, attached to a flat panel inside the dash. The red and black wires lead to switched power and ground, respectively. The V1 itself, amusingly, uses RJ-11.

The fuse panel has a small slot (highlighted) where a flat screwdriver ... I mean, fuse panel cover removal tool, is used to lever the bottom edge of the panel off its three tabs.
