Mt. Yasur, on Tanna, Vanuatu. Regular eruptions every few minutes, this was taken from the vantage point of the crater mouth. On Alert level 1 (of 4), there was only a minor possibility of being hit by the molten rocks spewn from the volcano. Level 2 increases that to likely, 3 to run at least 6km away, and 4 evacuate the island. Each eruption was accompanied by a small earthquake and deathly grumbling of the mountain.
