Just One Shot |

This was my first sunflower-at-night attempt from two nights ago. I stopped my car at an empty sunflower field, got out, and started walking. It was a bright night with the moon almost full. As I set up my camera and began taking this shot, I saw two lights at the other end of the field. I couldn't tell what they were, but they were moving fast. Teenagers on dirt bikes having fun? Maybe. Farmworkers tending to their crop? Not at this hour. Shotgun-wielding farmers on quads ready to shoot trespassers on sight? Crap! I was about to take another picture when one of the lights appeared at the end of the dirt road I was on, and it was coming towards me. Time to go, I thought to myself. I quickly packed my stuff and ran back to my car. I was reminded of that scene in the X-Files movie where Mulder and Scully were chased by helicopters through a cornfield after visiting a strange building with bees. In a fit of irony, I ran by a beehive. Ahh! I got in my car and drove off, with this the only shot I got that night.
