I like this shot just because it is so incredibly super macro-ish. How'd you do this!?

I had my 105mm macro lens with a reverse mounted 50mm lens attached to it.

I also had my flash bounce off a piece of paper that I had behind and to the right of the raisin.

So this is a poor-man's macro with a macro lens attached as well? This is like 760x life sized. The detail is incredible as well.

Yeah, you can get pretty good macros with a reversing ring for like $10.

BUT (and yes, there are buts with reversing rings) if your reversed lens is stopped down it won't be at maximum aperture when you look through the viewfinder (so it might be really dark) AND you might get significant vignetting AND your working distance will be decreased significantly. I suppose in macro photography, as in all things, there is no free lunch.

This is such a cool idea. I like it, yep.
