Gotta Keep Clean
I found a new way to photograph insects, particularly those that are tiny and fast.

I put them in suspended animation.

In my refrigerator.

When they're cold, they go to sleep. When I remove them from the refrigerator, they slowly warm up, groggy and sluggish but conscious. That's when I take my shot. After a while they're back to normal.

I asked me how you could take such a good picture of an ant! now I know ;) but quite a bit cruel, isn't it? ;)

Nah, insects are coldblooded, so they just get sleepy when they're cold. No more cruel than the ant being out on a cold day.

You're nothing short of a mad scientist, 'cept a doctorate. At least I wait until they're dead!

Think of me as Dr. Frankenstein. I bring insects back to life! Muahahahahahaha!
