My Glass Bowl blown by me. Picture luckily hides the many bumps and flaws I created. This glass started out as a 1000 Degree centigrade lump at the end of a pipe into which my breath is blown. It is a sobering thought that the finished product thus incorporates part of my breath.

The Falkirk Wheel is an example of imaginative and artistic engineering. The wheel connects the Union Canal from Edinburgh with the Forth Clyde Canal allowing barges and boats inland access from Glasgow to Edinburgh. The electricity used to make each lift is the equivalent of 8 electric kettles at an electricity cost of £10 per day (less then $20 dollars)

Beautiful very small private harbour between St Abb's head and Dunbar. Theland has tilted at some point so layers jut up in serrated formations. Follow the portals for more pictures from this area
