I took this picture for the Open University short course T189. "Introduction to Digital Photography". Here I am trying to explore some of the relationship between light and the bottle the bottle acts as a tool distorting the light. I thought by desaturating might make the image less complex

Moorhen

nest built of branches vines wire bits of paper and plastic. Moorhens are usually quite shy this one has (I hope not unfortunately) nested close to path and may be vulnerable. Additional Note Early May my concern over where it had nested appeared accurate nest abandoned and have seen neither adult bird.

Glass coil

This glass tube is part of a vase / candle holder from IKEA. Water fills the vase around the coil which holds a candle normally. For this picture the tube was filled with soap bubbles.

Old jetty gradually decaying while Leith is developed around it. Within 100 metres is the Royal Yacht Britannia across the water are the Platinum point flats.
