Texas Slough #1, Madison County, Idaho, 2004
It took a while to get rid of all the dust, but I'm finally done with it. I made this photograph my Junior year in college, and the Texas Slough west of Rexburg, Idaho remains one of my favorite places in the world to photograph, especially in the winter.

Texas Slough #2, Madison County, Idaho, 2005
Another image of Texas Slough, about 1/2 mile upstream of the previous image. Also made with 4x5 Polaroid Type 55 film. The light leaks occured from a faulty mechanism that isn't allowing the dark slide to be removed properly, which, in this case requires that the negatives be processed in the field. With a properly functioning Polaroid back, the dark slide is able to be replaced, allowing the photographer to process the negatives back in a more controlled environment, i.e., his lab/studio, which is the way I would prefer to do it, but $40 on ebay for the film holder is better than the $100+ for a brand new one.
