Cicada Killer Wasp (Sphecius speciosus)	Peninsula Cooter, Pseudemys peninsularis	We got them 9-22-10 at 7.5 weeks old.
They are very large (1.5") solitary wasps. They sting and paralyze a Cicada then lay an egg in the Cicada as food for their young.
