La Giralda es posiblemente la Torre más famosa de Sevilla (tanto que muchos, al ver una foto de la torre del oro, la identifican erróneamente con esta)
Lo que no sabe tanta gente es que no se construyó para ser un campanario, sino que era el minarete principal de la mezquita de la ciudad, desde la cual se llamaba a los fieles a oración
Tras la conquista castellana se construyó la catedral y la Giralda siguió llamando a los fieles, pero cambiando la voz islámica por las campanas cristianas
