Red and White Darth Vader Figures |
My Dogs on Yahoo |
|
http://chris.pirillo.com/ - I've been collecting Darth Vader merchandise for the past few years, and I stumbled upon a white Darth Vader this afternoon. This Vader was a part of the "Infinities" comic book series which illuminated alternate realities for the original trilogy. The red Darth Vader is a Holiday figure. I'm not sure if there are any other Vader figure colors out there - but if you know of one, please let me know.

http://chris.pirillo.com/ - Looks like Wicket and Pixie made it to the front of Yahoo this morning (Video tab). As soon as I heard the news, I told them - and they couldn't look less interested in this accolade. Thanks to Daniel Kindler for tipping me off to this momentous event. Who knew that they'd make it this far, even a year later? I guess it's a timeless classic (much like Star Wars itself). Unfortunately, this year, we won't be at home for Halloween - otherwise, we would all be dressing up like army brats and fighter pilots. Until then, we'll all have to enjoy the horror on Wicket's face - and the terror in Pixie's eyes - as their embarassment was briefly broadcast on the Internet. I don't think this video will ever die, and I'm quite surprised it made it this far.

Thanksgiving Recipes |
While Dawn and Drew were in the back room doing lord-knows-what to their poor microphones, the Podshow command crew were recruiting programmers for their new premium service - hamsters from a planet near Mars. These hamsters had never dealt with Earth-based RSS feeds before, causing nothing but problems when the new Podshow service launched yesterday. Podcasters cried foul, as their feeds were rewritten with new data and namespace elements such as "BloodType," "BirthWeight," and "Virgin." Moreover, every Virgin element was automatically toggled to "yes," thereby forcing thousands of podcasters to run out and prove the world wrong. Some podcasters were so enraged, they actually mated with the hamsters themselves! After that, the Copyright rewrite seemed less important than it actually was. The hamsters have since been deported.

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - You may have stuffed yourself with turkey and stuffing, but Imei and I enjoyed a less traditional Thanksgiving dinner. It was easy, fun, tasty, and completely stress-free - just like every Thanksgiving should be. What you see pictured here is: seaweed salad, fried tofu cubes (heated with toasted sesame oil), white rice, and homemade poke - made with shredded white onion, green onion, toasted sesame seed oil, futakake, oyster sauce, garlic, salt, low sodium soy sauce, chili flakes, and fresh sashimi-grade tuna! And yes, I splashed some "Rooster Sauce" on the border of my plate to make it pop. So, what's your favorite Thanksgiving recipe?

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - Most business is conducted at play, so claims @MahaloMichael at @TikisGrill. They're using social media in the tastiest way! They hosted my Gnomedex Hawaii Tweetup a few months ago. Lunch today was great (you must try the Poke Bowl if you have the chance).
