A New MySpace Generation |
by Chris Pirillo |
Nobody can pinpoint exactly when it happened, but rumors have it that MySpace started to jump the shark not long after Dick Clark set up his own profile and started to add friends. From there, it spread to retirement communities across the United States at breakneck speed. "Applesauce" and "Depends on Depends" jumped to the top of the most popular groups in record time. Now, you can't visit a single profile without being bombarded with the sounds of Perry Como or Liberace. MySpace officials could not be reached for comment, so it's assumed that they've fallen and can't get [it] up.
