Thanks! Yes, I did use HDR. The original photo had some toning issues... the white of the bridge was too white, etc., so using HDR helped.

I use Photomatix, which is available at http://hdrsoft.com (you can download a free trial). There is also a quick tutorial on the site. I've mainly learned through trial and error, though Photomatix makes it pretty easy. There are also ways to do HDR through Photoshop, but I've never tried it.

I like this use of HDR...it's not over the top but very subtle enhancements. Excellent!
